When I start DynamIP it complains about some file missing

Write down the name of the file and then try to determine whether you have it on your machine or not. If you can't find it (check out the files and their locations on the page Required Files) you might have to reinstall the appropriate distribution file. Note that ActiveX controls (files with extension OCX) must be registered properly (see instructions here).
